Ross’ room with a view

- By John Cross

ROSS BARKLEY believes the new social distancing rules are helping substitutes make more of an impact.

Chelsea midfielder Barkley, below, believes the subs being forced to sit in the stands as part of Project Restart can help them get more of an overall picture of the game rather than being stuck in the dugout at ground level.

Barkley, who came on at half-time and fired Chelsea into the FA

Cup semi-finals with the winner against Leicester, said: “It’s an advantage being able to watch from high up in the stands because you can see the space from the sides.

“You can see where the space is and we created a lot more.”
