THEY are the Little and Large of the canine world.
But this little chihuahua is giving his great dane pal a run for his money.
The popularity of great danes has plummeted to its lowest level in 50 years as families prefer smaller breeds suited to busy lifestyles and city living.
The Kennel Club said great danes were at their peak in the 1970s and 80s as the TV series featuring cartoon character ScoobyDoo, below, boosted the breed.
But the number or pedigree puppies registered has steadily declined with just 855 last year.
