We all need to get back to normal as soon as we can

I LOVE reading Frederick Forsyth’s page.Apart from the more serious side of life, we must have a life, we must get back to our normal lives as we have known them pre-2020 (“‘Safe’ life is not one I’m ready to risk”, July 10).

We never had this fear that seems apparent now, and with the quote “this is the new normal”, having to wear masks and socially distance.

This is not normal. I, like a lot of other people, will hug my family, and especially the grandkids, as they expect it and it is normal.

Normal is what we should be doing as soon as possible, with outings together, celebrations and yes, a pint in the pub.
