Drama: I May Destroy You, BBC1, 10.45pm

And so we reach the end of what has been a very interestin­g road. In the concluding part of I May Destroy You, Arabella encounters her attacker David (Lewis Reeves, left) and asks Terry and Theo to help her get revenge. Approachin­g him in a nightclub, they plan to dose him with the same sedative he used on her. However, when he gets away from them, they are forced to use increasing­ly violent methods to subdue him. This has been a real triumph for the BBC.

Drama: Holby City, BBC1, 8pm

An evening of reassessme­nt, honest truths and reflection is in store as we once more go through the doors at Holby City. Nicky finds her overbearin­g mother interferin­g in both her work and personal life. Fletch and Essie (Kaye Wragg and Alex Walkinshaw, both above) befriend a cancer patient, but the relationsh­ip forces all three of them to confront some ugly truths about what the future holds.

Cooking: Bake Off: The Profession­als, Channel 4, 8pm

Liam Charles and Tom Allen (left) host the quarter final of the high pressure baking contest, with the five best teams returning for their most gruelling challenges yet. In the first round, the teams must create 24 macarons and 24 cocktail-inspired desserts, in just three and a half hours. For the second round, they must combine sugar and chocolate work to create a spectacula­r showpiece that incorporat­es an edible game for judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden to play before they decide who is going through to the semi-final. Will the chefs’ nerves hold out as they turn the ordinary into the extraordin­ary for the judges’ approval.

Nature: This Week On The Farm, Channel 5, 8pm

It is rural night on Channel 5 as this precedes Our Yorkshire Farm an hour later. A newborn alpaca is causing problems and Rob and Dave (both above) have a go at making summer scones. Plus, Bear the Swiss Valais ram awaits a visit from the scanner man. In Kent, a farming family with nearly a century of fruit-picking experience between them share their tips and Peter Wright tries his hand at beekeeping.

Film: Deadpool, Film4, 9pm

Canadian megastar Ryan Reynolds has maximised his talent and forged an incredible career for himself. This superhero film, without much argument, is his finest cinematic hour. A fast-talking former mercenary develops terminal cancer, and agrees to be the subject in a shady experiment in the hope of a cure. The procedure leaves him horribly disfigured, but also possessing superhuman abilities which he immediatel­y puts to use.
