Travel: Africa With Ade Adepitan, BBC4, 8pm
In this four-part series Ade Adepitan (right) examined how African nations may influence international affairs in the next 50 years as life expectancy, population, and economic growth rise. He starts by travelling from Cape Verde to his birthplace in Nigeria, passing through Senegal and Ivory Coast along the way. He discovers how a region once ravaged by the slave trade is still being exploited by Western companies, who dominate the fishing trade.
