Lucy Loves Desi: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Sitcom Radio 4, 7.45pm

Anne Heche and Wilmer Valderrama take the roles of US comedy icons Lucille Ball and her first husband, Desi Arnaz, in this five-part play by Gregg Oppenheimer whose father, Jess, created their sitcom I Love Lucy.

Directed by Martin Jarvis, the story focuses on how the trio of Lucille, Desi and Jess had to battle prejudice to see their dream project reach the screen.

Jared Harris, Alfred Molina and Stacy Keach also star.
