Lesley Manville and Liam Neeson are at the peak of their acting powers in this moving romantic drama.

They play Joan and Tom, a couple who have been happily married for many years when she discovers a lump in her breast. The rest of the film sees the couple dealing with her eventual cancer diagnosis and Tom’s efforts to support Joan as the experience begins to alter their once unswerving view of life.

Acclaimed playwright Owen McCafferty also deserves plaudits for delivering a pitch-perfect script.
