Cat victims of Vietnam’s meat trade
IWAS shocked by your article about the appalling cat meat trade in Vietnam and I nearly burst into tears looking at the sweet faces of these poor doomed animals (“UK charity fights to halt slaughter of million cats a year for delicacy titled Little Tiger”, August 14).
These innocent creatures are often people’s pets snatched off the streets. It is said that one million cats are stolen every year along with five million dogs. This trade, highlighted by Four Paws and Change for Animals Foundation, must be stamped out.We could do our bit by helping to ruin the Vietnamese economy by not holidaying there. Let’s drum up support in defence of these poor animals.
