Let us pray that churches continue to help the needy
I FEEL compelled to respond with regards the letter about places of worship (August 13).
They do not drive the economy but when the pandemic started it was the Christians and those of other faiths who responded.
They set up food banks, fed the homeless and key workers, shopped for the housebound, contacted the lonely, collected prescriptions etc.
This care and concern for the less fortunate and disadvantaged has been overlooked. They contribute just as much a any local pub.
