DO YOU PREFER WATCHING TELEVISION WITH AN AUDIENCE?
Yes
AFTER all the heartache, misery and ruination of people’s lives this year due to coronavirus, it is nice that something is getting back to normal on TV (“Give them a big hand! QI audience is back”, August 14).
It’s good some things are returning. As many footballers, cricketers and other sportspeople will probably testify, there is nothing like having an audience or a crowd to spur you on to greater heights.
The flat, dead, echoey sound of nothing on TV during the height of the virus is thankfully over.

No
WHILE I’m glad things are slowly returning to normal and restrictions are being eased, I can’t say I’m too bothered about the return of studio audiences.
For the most part audiences, especially live ones, seem to consist of people laughing out of place or canned laughter or participation, which is even worse.
As a viewer, something is either funny or appropriate or it’s not and I’ll make my mind up on that without it being influenced by a studio audience.
