RUPERT AND THE CORAL ISLAND

- INGREDIENTS No 9

Between the cliffs a path is cut out, It leads towards the Bosun’s hut.

Rupert finds his friend. “Here I am!” he calls. “May I join you?” “Why, Rupert!” cries the Bosun. “Come and sit by me. I’m repairing a sail for the Girl Guides. When that’s done you shall hear more of my tales of the Coral Isles. I’m sure that’s what you’ve come for.” So Rupert sits beside him and waits. When the sail is finished Rupert offers his piece of Silverstrand rock, but the old Bosun smiles and refuses it.

“I’ve got a sail to mend, you see,” The Bosun says, “so sit by me.”
