Injured Shirley goes for whirl in wheelchair
CROCKED royal fan Shirley Ballas certainly didn’t need any fancy footwork to enjoy a “beautiful” visit to Windsor Castle.
And caring boyfriend Danny Taylor was right there for the Strictly Come Dancing head judge, pushing her wheelchair and helping with the star’s crutches.
Shirley, 59, who broke her ankle in a mystery accident last month, sported a neon pink plaster cast as she posed for a pic with a sentry in the background.
She is determined to make the most of her summer days off and was clearly thrilled to be exploring one of Britain’s most famous historical sites.
Shirley shared a selection of pictures of her grand day out with her 161,000 Instagram followers.
She also posted a video of herself smiling broadly in black trousers and a purple and pink blouse, which co-ordinated with her plaster.
Shirley let her face mask drop as she addressed her fans, flanked by two armed police officers.
Balancing precariously on one leg she joked: “It’s been amazing... with these two gentlemen to protect me!”
Later loved-up Shirley was keen to praise the devotion of 47-year-old beau Danny – who she met when they starred in panto together.
She wrote: “Beautiful day out with danieltayloresq, family and friends. I’m so in awe of the Royal Family, also royals through the ages.
“It was splendid to roam the castle and see it in all its glory.
“Weather was kind and Danny pushed me uphill downhill, lol truly one of the best days out ever.”
