Outbreak hits M&S sandwiches
MARKS & Spencer shoppers found sandwich shelves empty after its supplier shut following a coronavirus outbreak among workers.
Greencore, which makes sandwiches for M&S, said it would close its Northampton factory for at least two weeks after nearly 300 staff tested positive for Covid-19. Marks & Spencer said it would have sandwiches back “within days”. But customer James Brown said on Twitter his son ordered M&S sandwiches for a funeral and wrote: “You lot let him down. Shameful.”
