Simply red? No, it’s Ellie’s gig night at the museum
ELLIE Goulding hangs on to the summer as she performs her first gig of the year in shorts.
The singer, 33, opted for a striking red ensemble, including a bra top and cape, to promote her first album in five years, called Brightest Blue.
Her concert was a one-off, pay-per-view event broadcast live from London’s Victoria And Albert Museum on Wednesday night.
Peeled
But there was no blue in sight as she arrived for the event in a red coat, red boots and billowing pink skirt, all of which she later peeled off to stand in V&A’s pond.
Afterwards Ellie, who was joined by her husband, art dealer Caspar Jopling, 28, wrote on Instagram: “I can’t believe I just did my first show of 2020. What a ******* rush.”
Earlier this month the Hereford-born star took to the site to admit feeling under-fire for her muscular appearance.
She wrote: “I honestly feel I have been overlooked in the fashion world for this reason.
“But I will keep pushing female strength as the ultimate super-power.”
