This awful trade in animal misery simply has to stop

SHAME on the Welsh government for not implementing Lucy’s Law, which is designed to give some protection to all puppies bought and sold (“Massive demand for lockdown pets fuels puppy farm misery”, August 27).

It is contributing massively to the suffering of breeding bitches and their puppies, which are mercilessly being churned out on Welsh puppy farms.

The breeding bitches are used and abused and disposed of when they are not fit for purpose, having been treated like trash all their miserable lives. This must stop now.
