PC pandering will increase divisions in our society
UNFORTUNATELY, Leo McKinstry is right (“We must wake up to hate brigade set on shaming Britain”, August 27).
Pandering to the PC cosmetic airbrushing of historical wrongs will simply reinforce division between our diverse, modern British cultures, not unite them.
Surely world history tells us that the selective scapegoating of a particular race and the contrived elevation of minority interests above that of the majority leads to even more national disaffection and turmoil, thereby frequently sowing the seeds of irredeemable cultural division.
