FBI ‘ to ask Epstein chef about Andrew’
PRINCE Andrew was under more pressure to speak to US investigators after Jeffrey Epstein’s chef began “fully co- operating” with the FBI.
Adam Perry Lang, who cooked for the Duke of York and flew with him on Epstein’s private jet, is being quizzed about his time working for the late paedophile from 1999 to 2003.
Mr Lang, 51, is the first non- victim witness to come forward publicly.
Sources also say Mr Lang “has been or will be” quizzed specifically about his time with Andrew.
One said: “Perry Lang, like all those who spent time in Epstein and Andrew’s company, holds information about what actually took place.
Specialist interviewers are being used to achieve as much detail as possible that will then help shape any interview they may one day have with the duke.”
Mr Lang came forward following an emotional letter from Andrew’s sex accuser Virginia Giuffre, who claims Epstein forced her to sleep with the prince on three occasions. Andrew, 60, vehemently denies her allegations.
Andrew’s legal team says he has repeatedly offered to meet the FBI about Epstein but has been ignored.
The FBI has arrested Epstein’s British ex- girlfriend and alleged madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, 58, on suspicion of child sex offences. She denies the charges.
Mr Lang’s lawyer, Lawrence Lustberg, said: “Mr Lang has begun a course of fully co- operating with the federal authorities investigating this case. He, like them and like the victims, wants only that justice be done.”
Epstein, 66, killed himself in a US prison last year while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
