Poisoned Putin foe: Hand over my clothes

- By News Reporter

RUSSIAN opposition politician Alexei Navalny says Novichok was found in and on his body – and demanded Moscow return his clothes.

Doctors back Navalny’s belief he was poisoned with the garments potentially holding vital evidence.

The outspoken opponent of President Putin fell critically ill during a flight from Siberia to Moscow.

His family had him airlifted to Germany.

In his first posting since emerging from a coma in hospital in Berlin, Navalny wrote: “Before they allowed for me to be taken to Germany, they took off all my clothes and sent me naked.

“My clothes are a very important piece of evidence.”

He also posted a picture of himself sitting on the hospital balcony with his wife Yulia.

Germany says tests in three countries have determined he was poisoned with Novichok.

The West has demanded an explanation from Russia.

The Kremlin denies any involvement.
