Top cops Cagney and Lacey team up again

CAGNEY & Lacey are to be reunited – 30 years after their cop show ended.

Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly, who played the cop duo, are to appear on Loose Women on October 1 for their first joint TV interview in more than a decade.

Their appearance is part of Reunion Week on the daytime ITV show.

A Loose Women insider said: “We’ll be reuniting pairings on screen and they’ll relive their highlights from working together and their most memorable times.” Sharon, now 77, played harddrinking policewoman Christine Cagney in the show, while Tyne, 74, was Mary Beth Lacey, a married mother.

The series was set in the 14th Precinct of New York City and ran on the BBC from 1982 until 1988.

Other reunion guests include Patsy Palmer and Sid Owen who played Bianca and Ricky in EastEnders.
