Sly’s tribute to ‘ eccentric’ mum
HOLLYWOOD hardman Sylvester Stallone has paid a moving tribute to his mother Jackie, who has died aged 98.
Posting a photo on Twitter of the celebrity astrologer wearing boxing gloves, Rocky star Sly wrote: “A mother who has always believed and encouraged her sons.
“She will be remembered for her charism and unconditional love.”
Jackie’s death was announced by another son, singer Frank, on Facebook.
He wrote: “It was hard not to like her, she was a very eccentric and flamboyant person. Her mind was as sharp as a razor till the day she died. She never wore a mask, a true revolutionary gal.”
Jackie was married three times and had three sons and a daughter, Toni D’Alto, who died in 2012.
The astrologer and women’s wrestling promoter had a memorable stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2005.
It was much to the shock of co- housemate and former daughterin- law Brigitte Nielsen, with whom she had a frosty relationship.
Jackie was evicted after four days, following clashes with racing pundit John McCririck.
