Greggs factory forced to close

A GREGGS bakers factory has temporarily ceased production after an outbreak of coronavirus.

A “small number” of workers at Longbenton, near Newcastle upon Tyne, had tested positive for Covid- 19. The chain was unable to confirm how many of the 300 staff at the site were affected.

A spokesman said: “We do not foresee any stock shortages in our shops at this time.”
