An acclaimed restaurant near me, which only recently reopened its doors, has sent out an email to customers. To deal with the new restrictions they have extended all- day dining, are staying open for lunch until 5pm, will accept reservations up to 9pm in which you can pre- order in advance to deal with the 10pm curfew and are offering a take- home pudding or home night cap.

Well done to them and all power to their elbow. Ignore the Government’s garbled “Eat out, no hang on, stay at home” message and support your local hostelry. It will be a bit of fun amid the gloom.
