PRITI Patel is transformed into a vampire as part of the cast of the new Spitting Image.

The puppet comedy series is returning after a 24- year absence with new recreations of famous faces.

While the Home Secretary appears as a blood- sucker, the show also has rubber caricatures of Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, Vladimir Putin and environmental activist Greta

Thunberg. The new version starts on streaming service BritBox from October 3, and this week a trailer offered a preview of the zany antics. There will also be puppet versions of Kim Kardashian, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Dwayne Johnson and Gwyneth Paltrow. The original Spitting Image ran from 1984 to 1996 and was watched by 15 million viewers at its peak.

The show’s co- creator Roger Law said: “It’s time to come off furlough! We’re going to take back control from the likes of Boris.”
