AN out of work manager of 63 put on a smart suit and tie and handed out 300 CVs at Leeds Station, saying he was willing to take any job, and found a good one.

Yet job centres do not regard such initiatives as looking for work.

Instead they attach that description to jobseekers who make a couple of applications before collecting their dole.
