Documentar­y: Grayson Perry’s Big American Road Trip, C4, 10pm

Grayson ( left) travels through the swing state of Wisconsin in the American Midwest – a predominan­tly white and predominan­tly rural location, and one of the states that gave President Trump his victory in 2016. He finds a state that is increasing­ly bitterly divided over identity politics and hot- button cultural issues like abortion and vaccinatio­n. Why are these “culture wars” happening, asks Grayson, and what might help to overcome the divisions? To conclude the series, Grayson makes a map of the American culture wars, one which has implicatio­ns for our cultural and political divisions in the UK. Last in the series.

There’s never a dull moment for border officers Kat and Tracy as they try to help a student from India who’s arrived with no fixed abode. Meanwhile, out on the airfield during the morning rush hour, Airside Ian is ducking and diving on the runway. Elsewhere, Terminal 4 welcomes an exuberant new ambassador in the form of Marcus ( left) as he is put through his paces in the high- octane stakes of one of the world’s busiest airports. Documentar­y: Murder Case, BBC2, 9pm

A return of the documentar­y that goes behind the scenes of the most complex murder investigat­ions in Scotland. In this episode the detectives, including DCI Martin Fergus ( above), probe the case of

37- year- old Paul Mathieson, who was brutally assaulted and found fighting for his life. After Paul succumbs to his injuries, Police Scotland’s Major Investigat­ions Team takes up the case.

Health: 24 Hours In A& E, C4, 9pm

Barbara is rushed in with a high heart rate after the 74- year- old becomes dizzy while shopping. Her daughter Ana discusses her mum and dad’s success in the jazz world, and how all that changed when Barbara was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Meanwhile, John ( above) is brought into hospital, having woken up unable to move his right leg, and shares tales of his glamorous life on the airlines in the 1960s.

Film: American Hustle, More4, 9pm

A conman is caught in the act by the FBI, but a maverick agent offers him the chance to escape prison by assisting in a sting. The hustler finds himself involved in a scheme to bring down the corrupt, Mafia- affiliated politician, only to find his own ex- wife plotting revenge. Crime drama set in the 1970s, starring Christian Bale, Amy Adams ( right), Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. Writer/ director David O Russell uses his A- list cast to great effect.
