ARE STUDIO BOSSES RIGHT TO DELAY JAMES BOND AGAIN?

-

Yes

I KNOW it is a pain and everyone is desperate for something to look forward to but delaying the release of the new James Bond film again is the right thing to do (“Cinema closures over 007 film wait”, October 6).

It seems odd to me that you can’t go and sit outside and watch a football match due to Covid- 19 restrictions but you can go and sit inside and watch a film.

But regardless of the rules, attendances would be well down and the studio understandably wants to maximise revenue off 007.

IF people don’t start getting things to look forward to soon then many are going to rebel against the rules.

What is the point of being alive if you can’t enjoy yourselves?

At the moment it’s a struggle to keep ploughing through the drudgery and I think the makers of James Bond have missed a trick.

Releasing the film would have given people a real reason to get out and spend money, boosting the economy.

This is the second time it’s been delayed but if the cinemas are safe, why not go for it?
