Price: Wigan positives won’t be a negative
WARRINGTON coach Steve Price expects Wigan’s two positive Covid tests to have minimal impact on Friday’s clash between the two Challenge Cup semi- final losers.
The Warriors cancelled training yesterday, with one of the two unnamed players having featured in Saturday’s cup defeat by Leeds.
The RFL’s test and trace analysis – which determines how many “close contacts” each player has had with others – deemed that no additional Wigan or Rhinos players had to stand down as a result. Price, who had six of his Warrington players isolate last month, said: “I don’t know what’s happening in that camp over there but, from experience, we just cracked on. I couldn’t really give two hoots about them at the moment, it’s more about what we can control.”
