Crematorium despots should be ashamed

-

GIVE some people a little power and they turn into heartless lunatics. What else can explain the behaviour of staff at the Crownhill Crematorium in Milton Keynes?

During the funeral – funeral, for crying out loud – of Alan Wright, his two sons moved closer to their mother to comfort her until staff began shouting at them to move the chairs back.

What were they thinking? Craig and Paul were understandably horrified, with Craig writing: “I can sit in a restaurant, I can sit in a pub, I can live at her house, I can travel in a limousine to the crematorium with six.

“But when I want to give my mum a cuddle at Dad’s funeral, a man flies out mid- service shouting ‘ stop the service’ and makes us split up... A devastating day made even worse.”

What a barbaric lack of humanity towards people suffering terrible loss.

VIEWERS have been slamming the new Netflix show Emily in Paris for being over- cliched, portraying the French as arrogant, rude, fickle and unfriendly. It does and it is also the sort of programme in which a view of the Eiffel Tower looms up in an awful lot of windows.

However, it is also chic, glamorous, sophisticated and has one of the most elegant villainesses I have ever seen in the form m of Philippine Leroy- Beaulieu ( above).

Give me her wardrobe. Ca va faire pour moi!

IN A NEW book it is said that the Queen had secret plans to send Harry and Meghan to live and do good deeds in Africa: even if they’d stuck around I very much doubt that one would have worked.

Meghan wants to be Michelle Obama, not Mother Theresa, and career opportunities on that beautiful continent are not quite what they are in California.

And something tells me that £ 11million mansion has been in the offing for quite a while…
