Gold shielder! Mask wearing Shirley- style
DAME Shirley Bassey proves true glamour never fades as she dons a sequinned gold dress and mask.
The Goldfinger singer, 83, showed she was happy to take Covid- 19 seriously – but with a dash of chic – as she promoted her new album.
An insider on the set said: “She wanted to look great for her grand finale and she certainly succeeded.”
Dame Shirley has called I Owe It All To You – her first album in more than five years – a heartfelt thank you to all those who have supported her throughout her glittering career.
She said: “My new album is a celebration of 70 years in showbiz. Seventy years of support from my fans and 70 years of music.”
Of its title track, written by Don Black who she worked with on 1971 Bond theme Diamonds Are Forever, Dame Shirley said: “This song blew me away. It picked me up, swirled me around and then at the end left me speechless.
“Hoping that somehow in my life through my words and through my music, I made a difference to someone’s life. That my footprints will forever stay.”
I Owe It All To You is released on November 6.
