IS COMFY FOOTWEAR HERE TO STAY ONCE COVID- 19 IS OVER?

- Leeds

I HAVE got to say that one of the very few positives to come out of this pandemic for me is the fact I know longer have to torture my feet and put high heels on to go to work (“Bye heels!”, October 15).

Working from home means I can pad around the house in something comfy and even when I do need to physically go to meetings, dress code rules have gone out of the window.

My feet have stopped aching and the calluses and blisters have gone.

Heels were always ridiculous, now they are redundant.

WOULDN’T it be awful if women stopped wearing high heels?

Killer heels make a woman look so good and have been an essential fashion item for decades.

In these days of mass home working people are becoming scruffy and don’t care about their appearance, which is wrong.

A woman in heels commands respect. My old boss use to wear them and the sound of the clip clop as she walked up the corridor to our office used to fill us with dread.
