Rising population thwarts action on climate change

I RESPECT the crusade that Sir David Attenborough and Prince William are on to save our planet ( Ann Widdecombe, October 14).

Unfortunately, as things stand at

present, they are losing the battle. David has mentioned in the past one big issue, namely the rising world population, which amazingly nobody seems to take seriously.

The amount of land that will have to be cleared to house and feed this number is vast and will take priority over everything else.

Until world governments get together and discuss this pending disaster, we will face even more climate change, loss of animals, forests etc. and perhaps even the loss of the planet itself.
