Ignoring scientific advice may return to haunt us

CLEARLY the Prime Minister has an unenviable task steering the country through these tragic times.

However, it seems that at present he has in fact gone against scientific advice (“Short, sharp lockdown on the cards”, October 14).

I wish him well and hope he won’t live to regret not going for a sharp “circuit breaker” now, to halt the spread of the virus, when he may well have to change direction in the weeks to come.
