The City boss added: “It’s not a big [ injury]. I don’t know how long, but it’s not like for example Gabriel Jesus but a few days and I don’t know how many games he’ll be out.”
Jesus remains some way away from a return following a muscle problem in the front of his leg, but Guardiola will be boosted by the return of Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero.
Aguero has not played since June after a knee operation but he has been back at training for weeks and pronounced himself ready to return.
