Call time on supermarkets serving after- hours booze

IF pubs have to close at a given time, then surely supermarkets must also stop selling alcohol at that time.

It’s a pointless operation if people can be turned out of a pub but then stroll down to the supermarket or off licence and buy more alcohol to carry on the party elsewhere.
