TBe moisturise- wise

Moisturisers don’t actually add moisture to the skin, instead they seal in existing hydration so it doesn’t evaporate. Look for creams with hyaluronic acid, a magic molecule that can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water.

Skin- repairing ceramides are another great ingredient as they can help fill the cracks between skin cells and help skin heal.

Avoid fragranced moisturisers and ingredients such as retinoids as these may be irritating.

Apply moisturiser morning and night, preferably after serum, as this will help trap moisture in skin cells. Once or twice a week, boost hydration with a moisturising mask. both hyaluronic acid and ceramides to provide lasting hydration for 24 hours.

Institut Esthederm Intensive Hyaluronic Mask,

£ 31 ( feelunique. com) smooths fine lines and wrinkles and plumps skin.

Properly cleansing the skin will stimulate microcirculation, lift dead skin cells and promote skin renewal. It also preps skin for serums,

moisturisers and masks. Use mild cleansers with no soap or fragrance and always with a light touch rather than vigorous rubbing, which can cause irritation.
