Wes side story is still box office as he eyes Euro run

- LUHANSK LEICESTER DAVE ARMITAGE

WES MORGAN says he is still living the dream as he steps out for Leicester in Europe tonight.

The 36- year- old enjoys legendary status at the King Power after skippering the Foxes to the most unlikely Premier League win of all time in 2016.

Morgan, below, had been at Nottingham Forest for 10 years before joining Leicester and embarking on one of the game’s great adventures.

Now he steps out in Ukraine against Zorya Luhansk, with Brendan Rodgers’ side already qualified for the Europa League knockout stages.

The defender believes Leicester could win the trophy and admits looking back on the title fairy tale still sends shivers down his spine.

Morgan said: “It was never in my mind to achieve what I went on to achieve. It’s all been beyond my wildest dreams.

“I could never have predicted it. Things just sky- rocketed. It’s a fantastic story. Even though I’m not playing so much, when I sit on the bench and see the footage of it all on the big screen, it still gives me goosebumps.

“All the memories come flooding back. I’m not jealous of the young guys coming through.

“They are going to achieve a lot as well, but I still know I’m capable of performing at the highest level.

“Can they win it? If they perform

5.55PM to the best of their ability, then why not? They blow my mind. We know we’re capable of achieving big things.”

Rodgers has left some of his big guns at home, with Jamie Vardy, Jonny Evans and Youri Tielemans not travelling.

But the Leicester boss is thrilled players such as Ricardo Pereira, Perei Wilfred Ndidi Nd and Caglar C Soyuncu all look set to start s after lengthy le spells out due to their injuries. injurie Rodgers said: “We’ve left a few important players behind, but there aren’t too many opportunities to give them a rest.

“Zorya are a good team and we have a lot of respect for them, but Ndidi hasn’t played all season and Pereira has been out for eight months. It will be fantastic to have them back. We’re not taking the game lightly, but it just felt right.”
