Vaccine and Brexit are a perfect tonic
AFTER the galling scenes of people rushing out, post- lockdown, to barge and ram and cram into shops, looking for bargains like vultures circling over our dying High Street, with many still not wearing masks, my heart sank (“It’s like the Wild West on Britain’s High Street”, December 3).
But then came the fantastic news that we have got a jab to start winning the war against the coronavirus (“We’ve done it! But guess who’s having a dig at us”, December 3).
It is even better that Brexit has helped us to start rolling it out before Christmas.
I just hope Boris doesn’t capitulate in the final stages of Brexit negotiations, and delivers the best present of all – no concessions.
