RESCUERS MEET ROMAIN
ROMAIN GROSJEAN was yesterday reunited with the rescuers who helped him escape the fireball crash that almost took his life.
The 34- year- old Haas driver, right, suffered burns to his hands after his car split in two and burst into flames in Bahrain last Sunday.
And just four days later, Grosjean visited the circuit where this week’s Sakhir Grand Prix will also take place. The Frenchman, who was accompanied by his wife Marion, met FIA medical car driver Alan van der Merwe and
FIA medical delegate Ian Roberts, who were among the first people on the scene.
An investigation has been launched by the FIA, with the governing body confirming that it is “expected to take six to eight weeks to complete before findings are made public”.
