Morgan defiant

EOIN MORGAN has rebutted those questioning his use of coded messages from the team analyst.

Former skipper Michael Vaughan said the analyst would have been given ‘ short shrift’ when he was skipper.

Morgan merely smiled at the thought and said: “Captains are different.

“You get captains that enjoy the title and the power. Then you have other captains that continue to be pushed and want to learn for the benefit of the team.

“As leaders within a group you continue to change with trends.”

Morgan should have more than enough to deal with a South Africa side missing Kagiso Rabada and Faf du Plessis today.
