Cruise news
If you’ve been inspired by the world’s largest iceberg floating around the South Atlantic Ocean then perhaps go with the floe on a cruise to Alaska.
The glaciers in America’s vast state may not be quite as big as the A68a berg at 2,200 square miles, but they are still pretty impressive up close from a ship with the likes of the Hubbard weighing in at 77 miles long, seven miles wide and 600ft high at the face.
Princess Cruises’ 2022 Alaska programme goes on sale on Wednesday with 12 itineraries, five glacier- viewing experiences and 25 cruise tours available, with sailings on six ships from Seattle, Vancouver, Anchorage and San Francisco. Among those will be new- build 3,600passenger Discovery Princess, due to launch next November.
All six for 2022 will be MedallionClass-enabled for a largely touch- free voyage with passengers getting on- demand food and drink delivery, keyless cabin entry and contactless payments. princess. com
