Eze does it on link with Wilf
TOTTENHAM
ROY HODGSON believes that Wilfried Zaha’s partnership with new boy Eberechi Eze can be the spark that ignites Crystal Palace’s season.
The Eagles host leaders Tottenham tomorrow, a week after the pair helped demolish West Bromwich 5- 1 at the Hawthorns.
Zaha, below, scored twice but linked ked up superbly with skilful former QPR schemer Eze, and Palace manager Hodgson said: d: “Eberechi has shown he can do all the things we were looking for him to do when we brought him here – and because he is an attacking player who can beat a man, that will definitely help Wilf.
“It’s early stages and there is going to be a lot of work done to improve the partnership, but we’ve got to be very satisfied with the way it is working.”
Hodgson has also told Jose Mourinho to ignore the critics attacking the pragmatic style of his Spurs side.
He said: “I’m full of sympathy for Jose. But he’s been in football a long time and been unbelievably successful wherever he has been, and has a lot of trophies.
“If I was him, I would be extremely happy with what the team is doing.”
