WFB? Put that idea to bed – and swiftly

-

THERE is an ominous new trend afoot: WFB, or working from bed. My friends, do not go there. That way madness lies.

I worked freelance for 16 years, mainly from home, and not once, ever, did I work from my bed.

For a start it blurs boundaries, but secondly, getting up and dressed focuses the mind. If you live like a slob it will show through in your work.

I was pretty strict with myself about when I was allowed that first glass of pink champagne, too (7.30pm). Cheers!

KAMALA Harris is not happy with the image of her on the cover of American Vogue: she is wearing a pair of trainers, which she doesn’t think makes her look vicepresidential enough.

Which begs the question: why did she actually put them on in the first place? Trainers should be confined to the gym and jogging, not allowed anywhere near the work place, especially if it is the Oval Office.

Kamala is the most powerful black woman the US has ever seen, even beating Michelle Obama. Can’t she at least dress the part?

ONE wonders what is passing through the head of Melania Trump, the enigmatic First Lady who at least brought a sense of style to the White House. She never wanted The Donald to run for president and she doesn’t exactly look as if she enjoyed the ride. Remember what her predecessor but one, Ivanka Trump, advised would-be divorcees? “Don’t get mad, get everything.”

DELIGHTED to report that my 85-year-old uncle got his first jab of the vaccine last week and I hope it rolls out as fast as possible for the rest of us. Also, thank you to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, which looked after me during a nasty bout of cellulitis last week. Yes, the hospital was full. If there is anyone who really thinks it is, Covid-19 is not a hoax.
