Soap: Emmerdale, ITV, 7pm/8pm

In a double helping of drama from the Dales, Cain unwittingl­y causes an accident while trying to catch the car thief when Eric ends up driving an expectant Tracy (Amy Walsh, left) to hospital only for the brakes to fail. Meanwhile, Dawn berates Harriet. In the second episode, Priya is conflicted by Al’s declaratio­n. Elsewhere Amy and Matty seem keen on each other, while sneaky Victoria Sugden and Luke Posner plan a handful of ways to get the pair of them together.

Film: All The President’s Men, BBC4, 9pm

Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman (both above) play reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in this 1976 drama about the scandal that brought down the presidency of Richard Nixon. The journalist­s research a botched 1972 burglary of the Democratic Party Headquarte­rs at the Watergate building and with the help of a mysterious source, uncover a connection between the burglars and a White House staffer.

Travel: Robson Green: Walking Coast To Coast, C5, 9pm

The singer and star of notable TV dramas such as Grantchest­er and Wire In The Blood travels from Chollerfor­d to Walltown Crags, sampling the sights of north-east England, and learns more about how the Romans took care of themselves so far from home. He samples natural cuisine and checks out the spa at Chesters Fort, before paying a visit to the latrines of Housestead­s Fort, which were once the envy of an empire. He meets up with Andrew Birley and Trudi Buck (left, with Green) at Vindolanda and pits his fishing abilities against an angling rival, before climbing Steel Rigg to reach the route’s highest summit.

Food: Rick Stein’s Cornwall, BBC2, 6.30pm

Rick (above) explores the history of West Penwith. He visits Lamorna Cove, made famous through song and art, and the Unesco-protected tin and copper mining area of Botallack. The chef also follows an ancient track in search of Cornwall’s oldest building and reveals how, as a young lad on the Lizard Peninsula, he fell in love for the first time and tasted his first French fish stew – known as a bouillabai­sse.

Soap: EastEnders, BBC1, 7.35pm

Yet more drama from the mean streets of Walford as Ian seems wary when Sharon (Letitia Dean, right) tells him she’s making a special dinner for them but will she go through with the plan she had in mind? Meanwhile, Jay apologises to Honey for the hurtful things he said and Iqra throws Ash out, disgusted by her betrayal. However, a visit from Peter gives Suki the perfect opportunit­y to get her own back. Will she carry out her revenge on those who have cruelly betrayed her in the past?
