We’re tired of waiting for you... Mr Bond
It’ll be Double OAP7 as Bond is delayed again
JAMES BOND will have gone from secret agent to secret ageing by the time his latest movie is finally released.
As No Time To Die was delayed for a third time – until October 8 – wags on the internet mocked up pictures of an elderly Daniel Craig.
Instagram account holders used FaceApp to age the features of both Craig, in his last role as Bond, and Ms Moneypenny (Naomie Harris).
The film was meant to premiere last April.
But with many cinemas set to remain shut for the foreseeable future, speculation is growing that No
Time To Die may first be aired on a streaming service such as
Netflix or Amazon Prime. The £182million movie, the most expensive Bond film, has had a host of problems. Original director Danny Boyle left before filming started and Craig needed surgery on his ankle after being injured on set. Director Cary Fukunaga angered the crew by delaying shooting to play computer games.
TV presenter Piers Morgan tweeted: “At this rate, we’re all going to die of old age before seeing it.” It’s just as well previous Bond movies weren’t this late or we could have ended up with Die Another Day After Day After Day, Licenced to Kill Some Time and Dr No Not Yet.
IT does feel like we have been waiting for the new James Bond film No Time to Die for an age. And the hilarious picture drawn up of a promotional poster with an elderly version of Bond actor Daniel Craig perhaps underlines the lack of confidence that the latest release date in October will be met.
In all seriousness, as we face the misery of disease and lockdown people still need some means of escapism from their constricted lives and this film and others could provide us with some much welcome entertainment and respite.
