SHOULD WE TAKE FOOD HEALTH ADVICE WITH A PINCH OF SALT?

SO new research says eating fatty foods such as butter may in fact be good for our bodies (“Now butter may not be so bad for your health”, January 27).

News that cholestero­l is vital to maintain healthy cells is yet another punch in the face for the whole healthy food debate.

We’ve gone through more diktats about what we should and shouldn’t eat than I’ve had hot dinners, with things such as butter and cheese top of the list.

WHILE new research points to cholestero­l being good for our health, this isn’t just an excuse for everyone to now go berserk and start eating unhealthy foods all over again.

Of course a little bit of indulgence isn’t going to harm you. I like cake, chocolate, crisps and even stuff like pizzas once in a while but it doesn’t mean I eat them every day.

It’s no coincidenc­e that Britain is one of the unhealthie­st nations in the world due to diet.A little bit of exercise for some of us wouldn’t do any harm either.
