Put rule-breakers in our hospitals to fight Covid-19

AFTER the latest tales of people attending raves, weddings and other group participations, fines make little difference, especially if they cannot pay (Letters, January 26).

A better solution would be to get them to complete community service, helping hospitals, track and trace and/or vaccine centres, where I’m sure additional help would be appreciated – then they might realise how serious the virus is.
