Big Sam’s lock-in lays it on the line
SAM ALLARDYCE has told his stunned West Brom players they could have just two games to save themselves.
Allardyce, below, locked his players in the dressing room for an hour following his side’s 5-0 thrashing by Manchester
City.
He told them bluntly the next 180 minutes against fellow strugglers Fulham and Sheffield United could dictate their fate – and any less than four points could really put them behind the black ball in their bid to escape relegation.
Big Sam gave them yesterday off to try to get mentally and physically refreshed. But they were left in no doubt that two defeats are unthinkable. He said: “A few home truths needed to be said.”
Allardyce wants two new players and Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne looks set to come in on loan.
