Niece has no right to jewels
A WOMAN has lost her fight over £150,000 worth of jewellery left to a man her rich aunt met on a cruise.
Julia Titcombe, 46, of Camberley, Surrey, claimed Patricia Thompson promised her the jewellery collection in a Skype call before the aunt died in Monte Carlo three years ago.
But the High Court agreed with 54-year-old former air steward Neil Ison, who insisted the jewellery was his.
Mr Ison inherited Ms Thompson’s £6million fortune after caring for her as she died of cancer.
Judge Rhys said: “It’s improbable Patricia said anything to Julia regarded as indicating a trust of the jewellery.”
