Ferret who took a tumble in washer..
PET ferret Bandit dodged death by a whisker after going through a 100-minute wash cycle.
The two-year-old was given a one per cent chance of survival after sneaking into the machine. Bandit emerged battered with a collapsed lung and was spirited to a vet.
David Massey, of Vets4Pets, said: “He was in a pretty bad way but amazingly within four hours he took a few gentle steps.” Owner Jackie Redfern revealed Bandit’s brother Mikey pined for him and was making a fuss now he is home in Halton, West Yorks.
David warned people to take care when washing: “Our furry friends can seek a cosy place to curl up.”
