The children don’t get a look-in these days on Not Going Out. It’s less about parenting and more about the pains of marriage – or, when Bobby Ball and Geoffrey Whitehead feature, the special friction that in-laws bring. You don’t last as long as this show has without evolving. In tonight’s episode, when Lee (Lee Mack, far left) joins Facebook for the first time and is contacted by an ex-girlfriend from 20 years ago, Lucy (Sally Bretton, left) is annoyed that she cares so much. Her feelings are complicated by the sudden reappearance of a friend from university with whom she had a brief fling. Threatened by memories from the past, they start misbehaving.
